New MOOC: University Studies for Student Veterans

Columbia’s new Center for Veterans Transition and Integration (CVTI) is proud to announce the launch of an online course for Student Veterans starting on September 6th:  University Studies for Student Veterans. This course, designed in collaboration with Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), will help veterans transition smoothly from military service to college, and give them the tools and resources to succeed once they arrive on campus, including norms and expectations of college classrooms, strategies to achieve academic goals and ways to make the most of college education.

While this course is open to everyone, the content has been tailored specifically for student veterans currently pursuing higher education, active duty service members who aspire to start school or return to school soon, and higher education professionals who work to support student veterans at their schools.
