School of Social Work
Columbia University’s School of Social Work has been a leader in social work education and research since 1898. It joins rigorous academic theory with real-world practice to enhance the welfare of citizens and communities around the world. The School’s award-winning online campus uses innovative technology to engage students around the country. The program is the only Ivy-League Master’s of Social Work program available online. Live online classes allow students to interact with each other and with their instructors in real time. Before and after class, students complete their classwork using an online learning management system that permits them to access readings, view mini video lectures, and participate in discussion forums with their classmates. Guest lectures provide exposure to the School’s extensive network of social work leaders across the United States and around the world. Students are also given ample opportunity to interact with the School’s 17,000+ strong alumni community, which can be helpful for finding employment after graduation.
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
The Department of Statistics offers its M.A. program in a partially online format, offering students greater flexibility in completing the M.A. Degree. The first semester only of the hybrid program is offered online. The remaining courses are completed on campus, during which time the hybrid students are completely integrated into the resident program. The degree requirements and the actual diploma/M.A. Degree rewarded are identical for both the hybrid online/on-campus program and the regular on-campus program.

Columbia Business School’s Online Executive Education Programs offer a return on learning without having to leave home. There is no scheduling conflict when it comes to advancement. CBS Executive Education programs create a forum for learners to meet other executives where they are and connect with thought leadership, diverse talent, and a vast community of leaders. Columbia University Medical Center
Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) plays a leading role in global health issues, in particular, capacity building. About 30 percent of P&S students participate in international programs, and almost 50 percent of third-year dental students participate in the school’s global health externships. The nursing school has research and teaching partnerships with schools and clinics in Bangladesh, the Dominican Republic, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, and Taiwan. Columbia University Law School
Columbia University Law School is renowned for the intellectual rigor of its curriculum and the groundbreaking scholarship of its faculty. The Hybrid Executive LL.M. is a three month online, three month on campus program designed for high-achieving, experienced lawyers ready to advance their careers, build a global network, and take the lead in complex cross-border transactions.This accelerated program combines three online courses with an intensive 12-week residency on Columbia Law School’s campus in New York City. Students will be a part of an intimate cohort of high-achieving lawyers practicing in different parts of the world who will provide them with different perspectives and approaches to common problems. Students will also have the unique opportunity to study closely with our faculty and engage with our alumni in an effort to enrich their networks.
