Provost Announces 2017-2018 MOOC RFP Awardees

The Office of the Provost has announced the winners of the second round of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) request for proposals.  Five projects have been awarded grants to produce MOOCs along with in-kind support from the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

The 2017-2018 MOOC projects are:

Rethinking the Protection of Children in Disaster and War
Mailman School of Public Health

Introduction to Computer Vision
School of Engineering and Applied Science

An Introduction to Causal Inference 
Arts and Sciences

Use of Antiretroviral Drugs for Treating and Preventing HIV Infection
ICAP, Mailman School of Public Health

The Indian and Tibetan Contributions to the River of World Buddhism
Arts and Sciences

Columbia courses offered through MOOC platforms, Coursera and edX, continue to attract large and global audiences, stimulate curiosity and intellectual exploration, increase the visibility of the teaching and research activities of the University, and promote public engagement.
